The Pirates of the Caribbean Update You Need to Know in Disney World

When you think of fan-favorite rides in Magic Kingdom, you may think of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, or maybe even the newest ride, TRON Lightcycle / Run.

While these rides are all unique and exciting on their own, many classic Disney fans may say that Pirates of the Caribbean is the best ride in Magic Kingdom.

We’ve been watching the wait times at every ride in Disney World and we noticed something different this week — Pirates of the Caribbean’s wait time increased while other ride wait times saw a pretty big decrease. It may be time to prioritize Pirates of the Caribbean when it comes to Genie+ selections, but our wait time data below can help you decide!

Magic Kingdom

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train still holds the longest wait time in Magic Kingdom, but we need to warn you about another ride wait time. We track the average wait times each week and most of the time, the averages only fluctuate by a few minutes. That’s why we were surprised to see Pirates of the Caribbean’s wait time go up from 34 minutes to 41 minutes this week!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We have good news from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Although Slinky Dog Dash’s wait time has increased over the past few weeks, the wait time has finally decreased. This week, the average wait time is 78 minutes compared to last week’s 87 minutes. Rise of the Resistance is the next highest wait time with a 70-minute average.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, and Test Track are constantly competing for the highest wait time in EPCOT, but there’s been a change there this week! While the Ratatouille-themed ride has had the longest lines for a while, Frozen Ever After now holds the highest average wait time as of this week.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

We had some other conflicting wait times over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Pandora is known for being the busiest part of the park as it is home to the two newest (and most popular) rides. This week, Flight of Passage’s wait time went down, while the average wait time at Na’vi River Journey went up by a few minutes.
