The SURPRISING Wait Time Trend We’re Seeing in Disney World

There are a LOT of things happening in Disney World right now.

TRON Lightcycle / Run is having a soft opening in Magic Kingdom, a NEW nighttime spectacular will be coming to EPCOT, and Spring Break is in full swing, bringing tons of crowds! But over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there was a BIG opening this week — and surprise surprise, wait times were HIGH.

On March 23rd, Roundup Rodeo BBQ officially opened! This new rootin’, tootin’ dining location in Toy Story Land has been highly anticipated. While this park is usually pretty busy, we noticed quite a few especially high wait times in the park that day. Let’s take a look at some of the staggering waits we saw.

First, while Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance typically has a high wait — on March 23rd it reached a high of 190 minutes!

This ride had a consistently high wait time throughout the day, with an average of 129 minutes. However, it did drop down to 45 minutes just before close. If you are hoping to ride this attraction during spring break, it might be beneficial to wait until later in the day, or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane.

Another popular ride, Slinky Dog Dash, has pretty high wait times — it reached a high of 120 minutes. On the bright side, however, Tower of Terror has been seeing some shorter wait times lately, now that both lifts are fully functioning. It only reached 80 minutes once and had an average wait time of 48 minutes.
