A RARE Magic Kingdom Fireworks Show Is CHANGING This Year

A lot of big changes are coming to Disney World this summer, including the opening of a brand new ride and show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the return of Cool Kids Summer, and more! Well, if you’ll be visiting Disney World in July, we have another big change to warn you about.

Magic Kingdom’s Fourth of July Fireworks

If you’ll be visiting Magic Kingdom on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, you’ll need to know that the fireworks shows for those nights will be changing, and we’re going to tell you how.

Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom’s usual fireworks show, will not be happening on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Instead, you’ll be getting Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky all three nights, which gives you three opportunities to catch this special nighttime show. And if you happen to be in Disneyland instead, you’ll be able to watch that show all three nights there, too!

Now, normally, you could get yourself a guaranteed good viewing spot by booking a fireworks dessert party in Magic Kingdom, and while those are available for all three nights, they’ve already completely sold out. This is going to be one popular fireworks show!

That means if you want to get a good spot for the 4th of July fireworks, your best bet is to stake out your spot early, well ahead of showtime, which is at 9:20 PM.

If you’ll be visiting Disney World on the 4th, you can also catch EPCOT’s Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks show instead (and you may have fewer crowds to deal with than in Magic Kingdom). This special fireworks show, though, will only happen on the 4th.
