TRON Lightcycle / Run is the first roller coaster of its kind in Disney World and we don’t blame you if you simply just can’t wait to ride it!
Disney announced the attraction would open officially on April 4th, 2023, and if you were planning on catching it that day you’d be facing a major hurdle of trying to secure a spot in the Virtual Queue or grabbing an Individual Lightning Lane before they all sold out. But now, Disney just revealed there’s a way to hop on the Grid early!
Magic Kingdom will be holding a soft launch of TRON Lightcycle / Run from March 20th until April 2nd thanks to Enterprise! They shared on their Twitter page that “guests may have the early opportunity to experience TRON / Lightcycle Run” via the Virtual Queue or through the use of an Individual Lightning Lane.

The official Disney World page for TRON has also changed to reflect this new soft opening.
Now, any guest with a park pass reservation for Magic Kingdom on these dates has the chance to ride! You will enter the Virtual Queue the same way you would normally, with two daily opportunities to join. Although it doesn’t mention it here, Disney did share in other posts that guests can also purchase Individual Lightning Lanes for the ride.
This is pretty exciting news! If you’ll be in Disney World on these dates, be sure to try and grab a spot to experience this all-new ride.

Yes!!! I will be in Walt Disney World during these dates! This is especially exciting for me, because the last day of my vacation is April 1st, so I was missing the official opening by three days. Woo hoo! Thanks for that extra sprinkle of pixie dust, Disney!
