The $100 Upgrade I MUST Pay for Every Time I Stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

We’re sharing with you one of our FAVORITE Disney World hotel upgrades!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the most popular Deluxe Resorts at Disney World (and the official spot where The Beatles broke up), and we agree that there aren’t that many Disney hotels we’d rank above it. During our stays, we like to really take in all the sights, sounds, and amenities this resort has to offer — including its upgrades!

One of the more expensive Disney World hotels with room rates that can easily exceed $1,000 per night, the Polynesian requires some serious monetary commitment. However, if you’re game for the price, there’s one nice upgrade you can make that will truly enhance your stay!

The standard Resort View rooms here definitely do the trick, and by most accounts, are pretty nice. However, the views can be pretty middling — looking at the parking lot or the Disney World Monorail, your whole vacation doesn’t feel very magical.

However, for around $100 (it can be more or less depending on the dates of your visit) more per night, you can upgrade your room to one with a view!

Some view options include Water (views of the pool, marina, or Seven Seas Lagoon), Theme Park (views of Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon), and Preferred View (views of the pool or golf course).

Now, there are stipulations about this upgrade. First of all, yes, we acknowledge that this upgrade is definitely a cosmetic perk that will not make or break your vacation. By that standard, spending extra on something technically unnecessary might seem foolish.

However, if you plan on spending a good amount of time in your room and enjoying the views AFTER you’ve already committed to the high price points, then feel free to treat yourself! These views can be spectacular and help create lifelong memories.
