Why All Disney Fans Need to Mark Their Calendars For May 14th

While part of our job is reporting on all the happenings inside the Disney parks all around the world, we also do our best to keep up with everything The Walt Disney Company is doing OUTSIDE the parks!

That means we watch for the earnings calls that happen each quarter, the conversations and moves being made behind-the-scenes, and everything in between. It’s looking like we could potentially get some big Disney news later this month, so here’s why you’ll want to mark May 14th on your calendar!

On May 14th, The Walt Disney Company will be at the MoffettNathanson Media, Internet & Communications Conference. At about 1:30 PM ET, Hugh Johnston, the Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of The Walt Disney Company, will participate in a question-and-answer session at the conference.

On Disney’s website, it’s also already been stated that during this conversation, Hugh, on behalf of the company, may make “forward-facing statements.” These statements could be about things that the company is hoping for, working towards, or would like to happen, but it does NOT mean that they’re guaranteed!

With that being said, though, we could hear Disney talk about some of the plans they have coming up, specifically in regards to online media, anything on the internet, etc. Perhaps this could mean discussions around streaming, upcoming Disney movies and TV shows, and more. We won’t know until it happens, but we’re looking forward to it, that’s for sure!
