Summer is right around the corner, and if you thought you had a few more weeks until the crowds got wild, you might be wrong. If you’re planning on visiting Disney World this weekend, it looks like it is going to be very busy in one park!

So if you’re thinking about heading over to EPCOT this weekend, be prepared because we just found out that the crowds are going to be intense. Let’s dive into everything you need to know!
We are always on the lookout to see if we can predict the crowds and any unusual spike in attendance, and we just noticed that reservations for ticket-holders are sold out for this weekend, May 15th, 16th, and 17th at EPCOT. And whenever reservations are unavailable, that usually means the parks will be CROWDED.

Currently, Annual Passholders are still able to book for this weekend, but if you’re a Passholder looking to go to EPCOT this weekend, we recommend booking your reservation now in case those also book up.

While nothing specific is happening at EPCOT this weekend to account for more crowds, there are a few reasons that could be behind this spike in attendance.

The first being that the Flower and Garden Festival is only happening for a few more weeks, so folks might be looking to get their Festival fun in before it closes on June 1st.

Secondly, schools start letting out in a few weeks, so guests could be trying to get one last EPCOT visit in before the full-blown summer crowds take over. Or there are just lots of people looking to visit EPCOT this weekend.

Either way, if you were planning on going to EPCOT, know that the crowds might be higher than you expected, and if you have any flexibility, you might consider going to EPCOT on a different day.

If you can’t, don’t worry! A busy day at Disney does not have to be a bad one. We always recommend taking advantage of rope drop, or Early Theme Park Entry if you’re a resort guest, and prioritizing your top attractions so that everyone in your party gets to go on their favorite ride.

And if you really don’t want to deal with the crowds and lines, you can always buy Lighting Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass to make your day a little simpler.

And don’t forget to take advantage of all the Flower and Garden fun, which can be a great way to break up those lines and enjoy the lovely EPCOT ambiance!

We always keep you informed of all the Disney news and updates, so stay tuned to All Ears so you never miss anything!
