The holidays are over, and 2026 is here! The new year often symbolizes changes and upgrades, and this year, Disney World is taking its resolutions seriously.
The theme parks are expanding a lot this year, and that means a lot of construction, which can impact wait times. With all of these changes and holiday crowds finally dying down, we were curious to see exactly what wait times really look like in Disney World! That’s why we’re breaking down which lines were the longest right here.
It’s time for another look at what the wait times were like yesterday in Disney World on January 4th, 2026. If you’re headed to the parks soon, this can give you a good idea of what to expect.
Magic Kingdom
It was a pretty good day for Magic Kingdom! Only one ride in the park peaked at two hours, and there were very few closures throughout the day. To no one’s surprise, Tron took the crown for the longest wait time, and it saw times as high as 120 minutes. Throughout the day, it’s a small world temporarily closed a handful of times, but always managed to reopen within a few hours.

In Animal Kingdom, wait times weren’t as terrible as we were expecting! This year, the park is going through a lot of changes. The park lost 2 rides in the last year, and DINOSAR is headed for closure next month, which means times are going to be wonky! One thing that’s certain is Avatar Flight of Passage will almost always have the longest wait time in the park, at least until Pueblo Esperanza opens. If you have 120 minutes to kill, Flight of Passage might be perfect for you. If not, we recommend buying the Single Pass Lightning Lane for this ride almost every single time!

If you’re looking to dash with Slinky Dog, we hope you have a spare 180 minutes because that’s how long the wait was at one point yesterday. Slinky Dog held the highest wait time for most of the day, but it seems like guests were looking for some last-minute thrills because Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster reached 95 minutes towards the end of the night.
