This Iconic Disneyland Attraction Reopens in Less Than a Week

The Disneyland Monorail officially has a reopening date! The iconic attraction closed on March 30th, and now we know when we can take a ride again.

Disneyland Monorail

Mark your calendars for May 1st, as the Disneyland Monorail will be reopening. Guests will once again be able to use this historic transportation system to travel from Downtown Disney to Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park.

We always love taking a ride on the monorail to enjoy the sights and sounds of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney.  From views of Grizzly Peak and Buena Vista Street, to Fantasyland and the Matterhorn, we love the relaxing ride. Keep in mind that you will need a valid Disneyland Park admission ticket to ride the monorail, as the station is located inside Tomorrowland.

While you are at Disneyland, taking a spin on the Disneyland Monorail, you can also stop by Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, which is also reopening on May 1st. This attraction has been closed for refurbishment since March 30th. The spinning ride is inspired by Who Framed Roger Rabbit and will have you helping  Jessica Rabbit put a stop to the evil plans of the villainous Weasels.

While these two attractions will be reopening on May 1st, we are still waiting for a reopening date for Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, which closed for refurbishment on April 13th.

Over in Disney California Adventure Park, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is also closed for refurbishment. Silly Symphony Swings will be closing on April 27th for refurbishment. Disneyland hasn’t announced a reopening date for either of these attractions. Of course, we will keep you updated as we learn more about these closures!

Disneyland will also debut 16 NEW menu items beginning April 28th (though we already spotted the Magic Key Sampler Box early). That means that on May 1st, not only can you take a ride on the Disneyland Monorail and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, but you can also try out a bunch of new food.

We are always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so make sure to stay tuned to AllEars! We don’t want ride closures to catch you by surprise, so we are always providing the latest updates.
