We love heading to Disneyland to hop on our favorite Toontown ride, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin. We heard rumors that after its reopening, the iconic spinning ride had stopped spinning!

Our favorite part of this ride is how it spins you around for all of the scenes, and we’re sad to say that after we checked it out yesterday, the rumors are true!
As of the ride’s reopening, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin no longer spins. Our car was stuck in place for most of the ride, facing away from the scenes and towards the car behind us. So much awkward eye contact was made with the people riding behind us (or technically in front of us?). But regardless, we could barely see our favorite characters in action!

The car still spins during major scenes, and we’re pretty sure they’re pre-programmed to focus on the plot details. But for the free-for-all spin sessions that we’re used to, the wheel still moved, just for no reason; The cart didn’t spin at all when we tried to control it!

If you’re headed to Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin soon, we’d recommend you request the back cart, since the issue seemed to only affect the front cart when we rode. We asked a Cast Member about it, and while they’re aware of the issue and working on fixing it, they’re not sure how long it will take.

Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin unexpectedly closed on March 30th for maintenance and refurbishment, with no confirmed opening date. The ride reopened on May 1st, but riders immediately started noticing problems! We’re worried that our favorite Toontown ride might need another refurb in the near future.
