Disney Parks are among the most visited places on Earth, so it’s no surprise to think that over 17 million people visit Disneyland each year.

All those visitors add up over time, and if you’ve ever visited Disneyland, you’ve probably noticed the population number beside the Disneyland Railroad sign. Well, that sign recently got a big update as Disneyland Resort welcomed its one billionth guest to the parks!
Ahead of its 71st anniversary, Disneyland surprised a guest and their family by choosing them to be the honorary one billionth guest at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Andres Robles from Arizona, along with his parents, Alejandra and Jose, was surprised to be chosen for a special ceremony to celebrate one billion visitors.

The family participated in a short ceremony with Disneyland Ambassadors at the Main Street, U.S.A. train station platform. There, they helped unveil an updated population number on the Disneyland Railroad sign listing the population as 1,000,000,000. Of course, Mickey and Minnie were on hand to celebrate, too.

After the ceremony, Donald and Daisy also joined the family for a special photo. Andres and his family also received a VIP tour guide for the day, so they got to take a tour of Walt Disney’s private apartment, enjoy the newly opened Soarin’ Across America, and other special experiences.

We congratulate Disneyland on its one billionth visitor and can’t wait to see what comes next for the resort as it works towards 2 billion visitors! We’ll be keeping an eye out for more Disneyland news, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
