How to Get on Rise of the Resistance During One of Disney World’s Busiest Seasons

Spring break season is no joke.

Crowds

Sure, winter holiday crowds tend to be wild, and summer in Disney World can be pretty cramped, but spring break is another time you should watch out for. Nobody wants to wait in long lines after walking around a packed Disney World theme park, so how should you go about getting on those popular rides? That’s where we come in to help.

We’re taking a look at the average wait times from the past week, and Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to have the longest wait times in all of Disney World. We’ve got some tips on how to avoid that line!

Rise of the Resistance

If you’re willing to shell out some extra money to skip the lines, the most stress-free way to ride is by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane. This is a separate purchase from the Genie+ service and allows you to skip the line only at Rise of the Resistance (or whatever ride you purchased it for).

Don’t want to spend even more money at Disney World? We totally get it. In that case, we recommend rope dropping the park, especially if you are staying at a Disney World hotel. People staying at Disney World hotels have access to early entry which allows them to get in 30 minutes before the park opens.

Another strategy is waiting until the end of the night to ride. Wait times usually dip towards the end of the night, and as long as you are in line by the time the park closes, you will be able to ride. One caveat to this is that the ride might close for technical difficulties. Especially with a ride like Rise of the Resistance that breaks down constantly, this may be the riskiest option.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is constantly posting the highest wait times in Magic Kingdom, but this week, the average wait time went down to 82 minutes (the average was 88 minutes last week). This ride offers Individual Lightning Lane like Rise of the Resistance so you can pay to skip the line here.
