Here’s YOUR Ranking of the Attractions at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom
31. Astro Orbiter
Score: 5.58

“Wait not worth the views more than once. You can get just as good views from the people mover and much more bang for your buck”
“Usually not worth the long wait, not good for anyone scared of heights”
“I like this ride. It’s pretty cool to go up the elevator and get on the ride. Great views and fun to ride at night as well to see all the lights.”
Astro Orbiter
30. Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Score: 5.69

“Like Dumbo but not as cool or classic. I’d say it could be a must do if you have little kids and want family friendly ride. Otherwise, definitely skippable.”
“I loved this ride. It’s smooth for this sort of ride. You can adjust your carpet up and down and the camels are cool too!”
“During our August trip to Disney World, we rode all three spinner rides. This was actually our favorite of the three! The line was shorter than Dumbo, and the joystick to move the carpet up and down responds immediately. This allows you to bump your carpet up and down through the air, and it makes the ride a lot of fun! Both Dumbo and Triceratop spin have a delay to the joystick, which makes you just kind of glide along. Love the Dumbo Queue, but this ride is better! Both my kids agree!”
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
29. Liberty Square Riverboat
Score: 6

“Its really boring. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good boat ride, but for kids, there is absolutely nothing to do.”
“Smooth ride and very accessible for wheelchairs/ECVs. Great place to take pictures of surrounding area. Can be boring for kids.”
“Nice, relaxing, smooth boat ride. Good place to decompress. Nice view of surroundings.”
Liberty Square Riverboat
28. Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
Score: 6

“Not much to say, classic carrousel ride for the whole family. I know you can go on a carrousel at tons of places, but this is still a must-do for us. The kids love going round and round looking at the castle and everything else there is to see.”
“Has some history behind it which is very interesting to look up before hand A great ride to amuse the little ones Sometimes some of the characters might come and join your little ones on the carousel! Not a must do The line can get long sometimes.“
“Great ride for the entire family. The lines move quickly.”
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
27. Tomorrowland Speedway
Score: 6.28

“I personally love this attraction. I love it even though most of the time I am just laughing at myself for my horrible driving. It is also great for the kiddos because it is like they are really driving a car. Plus the parents get a nice view of Tron and they get a kick out of the children driving.”
“It needs an upgrade. This gripe is completely valid, as modern technology and some modern theming wouldn’t require demolishing the existing ride and building an entirely new one but would pretty easily result in an experience on a much higher level. I keep hoping this is something being planned in the not-too-distant future, rather than replacing it altogether.”
“This ride is fun. I’m constantly laughing at how bad I am at driving. I would only ride it though if there’s no line. This would be great for little kids, since they most likely be bothered by the smell of gas.”
Tomorrowland Speedway
26. Barnstormer
Score: 6.49

“It is a great ride for little kids and could be a good first roller coaster. Other than that it is kinda boring but again, intended for kids. You should still ride it at least once.”
“Really great for young kids, but if your over the age of 8, this really isn’t a great ride.”
“It’s a great beginner ride it’s a very mild roller coaster and kind of jerky and not very thrilling but it’s still sorta of fun.”
Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini
25. Tom Sawyer Island
Score: 6.75

“I used to spend a half day on the island when I was a kid. I didn’t go back until recently and not much has changed. I still love it.”
“I still think this is classic disney fun. no frills, just your imagination and a little escape to nature. take the raft to the island, wander through the caves and trails like you would with tom and huck. when do we get to do that anymore?”
“Great place to let your kids burn off some energy. Not typically crowded so you can get a little bit of peacefulness when you are over there.”
Tom Sawyer Island
24. Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
Score: 7

“This is another Disney World classic. It’s not a ride, but it’s a must-see attraction- have to do it at least once. It really fuels kid’s imaginations, dreaming of living in a treehouse. Fascinating to see how this family could live up there!”
“Good break from the chaos of the park, kids will find the climb up a giant treehouse fun, and adults who know the story will appreciate the nostalgia.”
“While I do appreciate how well-done it is, it’s really just a long climb up a big tree. See it if you liked the movie, but don’t bother if you’ve never seen it.”
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
23. Mad Tea Party
Score: 7.13

“A wonderful classic ride that the whole family can enjoy. My kids absolutely love it! They want to spin and spin forever. A must-do for us.”
“I believe that this is wonderful attraction for young children or those who enjoying spinning around. I personally get very dizzy on these type of attractions, so I usually will stay away but if it doesn’t bother you than go for it!”
“One of my underrated favorites!! I love this ride, I know it isn’t long and it isn’t he most “thrilling” but for someone who is not big into dark drops and fast rollercoasters that jerk you all around this ride always comes through!”
Mad Tea Party
22. Country Bear Jamboree
Score: 7.3

“I didn’t really “get” this attraction when I was little, but as an adult it’s one of my favorite attractions, especially when I’m at the parks by myself. It’s hilarious, especially if you get the jokes and pay close attention to the lyrics. It’s also a classic.”
“Unless there’s really bad weather, you don’t like rides, or you have a special connection to this attraction, it’s really not worth watching.”
“The bears are adorable, and so is the show. The jokes are super cute. Often times you can meet the character bears outside of the show.”
Country Bear Jamboree
21. Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Score: 7.77

“Iconic attraction with a cool play area for kids while they wait. If you are not traveling with small kids, I wouldn’t recommend unless there is no line.”
“It’s a classic Disney attraction that you see advertised all of time. I think if you’ve never ridden dumbo, especially with your children, it’s a must do. But if you do not have the want to do so, then I would skip it.”
“Classic Disney spinning ride with an interactive queue for the whole family.”
Dumbo the Flying Elephant -- WDW
20. Enchanted Tales with Belle
Score: 7.93

“Nice attraction with a cool magic door that I still can’t figure out. If your kids get picked to participate, they’ll definitely have fun.”
“I am a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, so I personally appreciated all the themeing and the detail in Maurice’s cottage and the library, plus it was cool to meet Belle. How ever this show is best for families with young kids, because they will get to be a part of the show.”
“Neat! Fun show and cute kids but sitting there while they all hug her when you don’t have kids is too long.”
Enchanted Tales with Belle
19. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Score: 7.95

“My family loves this ride, and we all have fun competing against each other. Not as good as Toy Story Mania, but still a must do for us.”
“This was our family’s favorite ride when we visited. We ride it multiple times! My 3 y.o. Loves buzz Lightyear so it was definitely fun for him. We all had a great time shooting and seeing who had the highest score.”
“This ride is best when you have and even number of guests in your party so you can compete with each other to score the most points. Ride can be as interactive as you want it to be”
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
18. Enchanted Tiki Room
Score: 7.95

“I rode this ride for the first time last year (I have been going to Disney since I was child) and I was pleasantly surprised by the show. I usually don’t like shows but this one caught by surprise. It was funny and cute and even had moments that scared a bit. Overall I think it’s fun attraction for the whole family.”
“This is a classic attraction. Cute and entertaining, it allows you to see where the history of audio animatronics started. Plus who doesn’t love a good song?”
“There are certain things in Disney that are classic. This ride has a rich history that makes the whole experience so much better. I do miss the takeover, but having the original back in the park is awesome.”
Enchanted Tiki Room
17. Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor
Score: 8.08

“Funny jokes that the whole family will like. I like that it’s interactive and they do a great job of being engaging.”
“This is the best show in magic kingdom. The jokes are amazing, and has amazing audience interaction. You do not have to be a Monsters Inc fan to enjoy this show. So so so fun and cute.”
“A nice show to sit and cool down on a hot day or get out of the rain but doesn’t keep kids entertained for too long. Some jokes are funny but not enough to get me cracking.”
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
16. “it’s a small world”
Score: 8.13

“This is my favorite ride because it makes me feel happy. I love looking at all the cute dolls and hearing the beautiful music”
“It’s a Small World, is a very cute ride. The animatronics are really cool. The song definitely gets stuck in your head for a while and that’s what makes this ride a little annoying. I don’t recommend going on this ride if the wait time is over 30 minutes and it’s a ride you should only do it once in your life unless you’ve enjoyed it!”
“Such a classic! One of my favorites at Magic Kingdom…It’s amazing to me how well maintained this ride is for its age! Highly recommend”
it's a small world -- WDW
15. Hall of Presidents
Score: 8.18

“Classic Disney attractions. Wonderful animatronics for every US president thus far. Great for kids who are learning about our nation and our nations presidents. In the waiting area inside there is an actual Great Seal of The United Sates on the floor. It took an act of congress for them to be able to display the seal at the attraction.”
“Great classic Disney attraction. Fun for kids (not toddlers) who are at an age to start to understand about presidents and politics. The animatronics are amazing. Very exciting for kids to hear presidents speak.”
“Definitely an underrated classic that my whole family makes sure to hit every time we are in Magic Kingdom, highly recommend for a fun time to beat the heat and learn something you may not have known before…”
Hall of Presidents
14. Jungle Cruise
Score: 8.4

“I think that everyone should do this attraction at least one. It’s a Disney Classic attraction. The ride does heavily depend on your skipper.”
“It is for everyone and you get a new experience every time because the Skipper is always different.”
“Overall enjoyable for the whole family. Skippers are funny for any age, and it is a classic WDW must do.”
Jungle Cruise
13. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Score: 8.62

“Absolutely one of the best rides on property, and a highlight of any trip to magic kingdom. You will need to fast pass this one or hop in line right before park closing, but it is worth the effort.”
“Amazingly themed with impeccable detail. However, this ride is too short and not all that thrilling in my opinion. Especially when you consider the insane wait times. I would only go on it again if I had a fast pass or the wait time short.”
“This is a super fun (but short) ride. We love the swinging mine trains 🙂 This is also a great first-time roller coaster; much better than Barnstormer. While it does move quickly, there are no big drops which makes this ride great for kids who are starting out.”
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
12. Carousel of Progress
Score: 8.64

“A great, air conditioned, “show”. An original WDW attraction! We love looking for hidden Mickeys and learning about past decades. My 6 year old and I love the song.”
“One of the most innovative things in the park, especially for its time. Also good to get out of the heat.”
“This is such an iconic Disney attraction. It’s like stepping back in time to the World’s Fair where it was showcased. Definitely a must-do”
Carousel of Progress
11. Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Score: 8.66

“One of our favorites in the Magic Kingdom. A great collection of music from Disney movies with Donald Duck story-line mixed in! Makes good use of 3D effects and even will surprise you with a splash of water in your face!”
“A must-do! A family-friendly show in the AC, mind you. This attraction showcases the classics of Disney World during the 1990’s. Very nostalgic if you grew up watching those movies, and fun for children that are currently watching them or the live-action versions.”
“Great way to beat the heat and enjoy some Disney magic, I absolutely love this show and everything it brings together!”
Mickey's PhilharMagic
10. Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid
Score: 8.67

“We went on this ride for a Little Mermaid fan in the group. It was really cute and if you have someone that loves Ariel it is def a must-do”
“An awesome attraction. It’s a nice way to relax and cool off. Try to not get a FastPass for this one because there’s never a long line except on busy days. Sometimes if it’s really short, I ride it again right after I get off.”
“If you are a Little Mermaid fan like me, this ride will put a smile on your face and is a must do. Slow moving ride taking you through the story, so it is great for the entire family.”
Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid
9. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Score: 8.67

“Definitely an attraction on my must-do list. I always snag a FastPass for this one every MK trip. It’s such a nice way to have fun and relax at the same time.”
“If your favorite characters are from Winnie the Pooh, this is the ride for you! Even if they aren’t this ride is still a great one to relax and cool down on. There is usually not a very long wait! While on the ride there are a couple hidden easter eggs. This used to be Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, so if you look very closely, you will see Mr. Toad handing the deed over to Owl! There are some scenes they may be a little darker for the younger kids.”
“It is a fun little ride that my whole family enjoys. I would recommend riding it in the evening when all the little ones have gone to bed so you do not have to wait in a long line.”
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (WDW)
8. Peter Pan’s Flight
Score: 8.76

“Fun, family friendly dark ride with a great, interactive queue. Definitely a must-do for my family.”
“It’s a classic and unique. Not worth the obnoxiously long waits that it usually has though. I personally wouldn’t wait more than 30 minutes.”
“Such a cute ride and cute animatronics! Peter Pan is my favorite and is a must ride whenever I go to Disney World! Love, love, love!!”
Peter Pan's Flight
7. Pirates of the Caribbean
Score: 9

“What’s not to love about this ride?! Classic boat ride with great animatronics, and the whole family can join in on the fun. There’s even different smells to enjoy throughout the ride.”
“Good but pales in comparison with Disneyland version.”
“A family tradition to make this the first ride of our Disney vacation. A true Walt Disney idea brought to life. This classic ride inspired, as of right now, five movies, and to quote Lefou, ‘it’s not very hard to see why.'”
Pirates of the Caribbean -- WDW
6. Space Mountain
Score: 9.15

“A classic thrill ride, though it is getting a little old. It is in complete darkness however as someone with motion sickness I was totally fine.”
“This is one of my all-time favorites and it is something that I ride as many times as I can when I am in the Magic Kingdom”
“Thrilling dark coaster. Great step up coaster from Big Thunder if your kids are getting older.”
Space Mountain -- WDW
5. Walt Disney World Railroad
Score: 9.25

“I love the WDW Railroad; not only is it a great, relaxing way to get from one area of the park to another, it’s an attraction itself. I love seeing the views of the park from the train while listening to the commentary over the speakers.”
“Gentle ride for all to enjoy. Can take it all the way around the park or get off at your desired land.”
“One of the most beautiful restored steam trains still in operation. Sorry to hear this is coming to an end. This was always a great way to travel to different areas of the park too. The ride was at a perfect speed to catch a little breeze. Sometimes I would ride it completely around the loop just for enjoyment.”
Walt Disney World Railroad
4. Transit Authority PeopleMover
Score: 9.43

“One of my personal favorite rides. There’s just something about this relaxing ride through Tomorrowland that gets me every time.”
“I honestly could ride this all day and be happy. I love seeing everything riding around on this and it is definitely fun for the whole family.”
“Need a nice break from the crowds and rest your feet? this is the ticket! a nice relaxing ride above Tomorrowland and through the attractions giving you a small behind the scenes view of Buzz, Space Mountain. we do it a couple times if we can.”
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
3. Big Thunder Mountain
Score: 9.45

“Fun rollercoaster for all ages! No huge drops and if your little ones are scared have them sit in the front.”
“Good ride for all ages. The cue is interactive and fun. The ride is actually pretty long with some strong turns and humps. Plus, it’s part of riding all the mountains.”
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
2. Haunted Mansion
Score: 9.47

“A true classic. There’s a reason why there’s a version of this ride in every Disney park. It’s a bit spooky, but I would’t say it’s scary.”
“An absolute classic. An imagineering masterpiece for its time. Probably my favorite attraction in Magic Kingdom. Honestly, don’t get a fastpass for this one, even if there’s a long wait. Explore the queue, it is worth it!”
“This is absolute must do attraction! It’s scary and funny so there is something for everyone. Young children may be frightened through the first portion of the ride, but may enjoy the second portion. I suggest getting a fast pass for this ride. Or if you don’t mind waiting the queue has a lot of guest interaction. The attraction take multiple people at a time, so the line moves pretty quickly.”
Haunted Mansion
1. Splash Mountain

“Possibly the best-themed ride in Disney World. The music and characters throughout the ride are amazing, and I like that it’s a long ride. Plus, nothing beats that glimpse of Cinderella’s Castle just before the last drop.”
“Splash mountain is one of my favourite rides in all of the parks. The ride is long enough to make you enjoy the animatronics and forget that there’s a big drop waiting for you at the end!”
“Everyone needs to ride Splash Mountain. One of my all-time favorite Disney World rides”

Thank you for these reviews! I haven’t been to WDW since I was nine years old, and there’s so much that I didn’t get to do that I’d like to. My family and I were supposed to go the end of March 2020. That didn’t happen, of course, because of COVID 19. We were supposed to spend one day in Magic Kingdom, but after seeing this list, when we rebook I think we will need two days to be able to do everything we want!
I’m sorry your trip was affected. Definitely plan on two days at Magic Kingdom, or take advantage of an After Hours event if there’s one available when you’re able to go. So many classics to ride!
For the most part I agree except for the People Mover. Nice ride, great time out for the feet but not that great!
