EPCOT Is Going To Look Completely Different in a Few Weeks

One of EPCOT’s most popular attractions, Soarin’ Around the World, is going to look very different, very soon. If you have a Disney World vacation planned this summer, here’s what you need to know!

Soarin’ is calling to tower, and they’re ready to take off on a new adventure. On May 26th, Disney is bringing a brand-new version of Soarin’ Around the World, called Soaring’ Across America!

This patriotic makeover of the iconic ride is in celebration of the 250th birthday of the U.S.A. We don’t have much detail on where we’ll be traveling during our soaring adventure, but we can’t wait to find out!

The ride will officially debut on May 26th, but Disney World Annual Passholders have the awesome opportunity to experience it early! Annual Passholder previews will be on May 19th and 20th, and all you need to do is show up at the attraction. Wait…what?! That’s right, no virtual queues or early sign-ups are needed.

If you’re a Passholder, all you have to do is join the standby queue during normal operating hours. Make sure to book that park reservation for EPCOT ahead of time, as the ride is subject to capacity, and it could be busy. Park hopping is also always an option if you can’t get that EPCOT reservation.

Changes are going to have to be made to bring this new version of Soarin’ to the park, which means the attraction has to close for a little bit. Soarin’ Around the World will close on May 13th, 2026. So, make sure to get your last flights in before it leaves for a good chunk of time!
