U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has arrested 28 people, including staff members on a Disney Cruise ship, docked in San Diego, according to Variety.

The arrests were made as part of a child sexual exploitation material (CSEM) operation.
The operation took part on April 23rd and April 27th when the CBP boarded eight cruise ships docked in San Diego. Law enforcement interviewed a total of 28 staff members on those ships, including 26 suspected crew members from the Philippines, one suspected crew member from Portugal, and one from Indonesia.

CBP confirmed that 27 of the 28 those interviewed were involved in “either the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of CSEM.” Those subjects’ visas were cancelled, and they were returned to their countries of citizenship.
As a response, Disney issued the following statement: “We have a zero-tolerance policy for this type of behavior and fully cooperated with law enforcement. While the majority of these individuals were not from our cruise line, those who were are no longer with the company.”

Although other cruise line ships were involved in the operation, their names have not been revealed. Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news.
