This summer, Disney World shook up everyone’s vacations by changing Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. But according to most fans, it was a change for the better!
​That’s because you can now purchase your Lightning Lanes ahead of time (seven days before for hotel guests and three days before for everyone else). So if you’re getting ready to purchase Lightning Lanes for your upcoming trip, we’ve got a tip just for you!

Last month, TRON Lightcycle / Run switched from a Virtual Queue to a standby line…and let’s just say, the wait times have not been pretty lately! It is consistently posting some of the highest wait times in Magic Kingdom and often, all of Disney World.
Because of this, we highly recommend purchasing a Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON if you can swing it. That way, you can skip the long waits and get back to the rest of your day in Magic Kingdom! It’s not cheap at $20-$21 per person depending on the day, however, it can take a bit of stress out of your day if this is a must-ride for you.
If this isn’t doable, then we highly recommend heading straight to TRON at park opening time. You can also hop in line at the end of the night as long as you enter the queue before park closing time. Warning — you might be waiting a while though, because the ride is super popular at night. I mean, just look at it!
