Disney leadership is changing again! Recently, Jeff Vahle, the president of Walt Disney World, announced his retirement, leaving some holes in Disney’s hierarchy.

Now, ahead of Vahle’s retirement, Disney has confirmed several changes in their senior leadership team from Walt Disney World to Disneyland Paris. Here’s what we know about the three people taking charge in the company.
Recently, Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum announced 3 new leadership changes across the Walt Disney Company. First, Joe Schott has been appointed President of Walt Disney World Resort!

Schott has worked in leadership for nearly 40 years across different destinations in Asia, Europe, and more. Until now, he has been serving as the president of Disney Signature Experiences, where he was in charge of heading the cruise line’s newest ships, the Disney Destiny and the Disney Adventure. Prior to that, he worked as the president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort. During his time there, he was in charge of the opening of Disney’s first Zootopia Land.

He has also worked at Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney Attractions Japan, and Tokyo Disney Resort. Disney also shared that he began his career with the company as a Jungle Cruise Skipper, which we love.

Next, Disney confirmed that Natacha Rafalski has been appointed as President of Disney Signature Experiences. Rafalski has worked with the company for over 30 years! She will be in charge of Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Aulani, Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, Storyliving by Disney, and Golden Oak.

Rafalski will be in charge of the Disney Cruise Line as they continue to grow the fleet up to 13 ships. She has been the president of Disneyland Paris since 2018 and has previously led the park’s major expansion and retheme, Disney Adventure World.

Finally, Christophe Murphy will now take over the role of President in Disneyland Paris. Murphy has been with the company for more than 35 years, where he has worked through each dimension of the resort, including theme parks, Disney Village, hotels, entertainment, merchandise, food and beverage, and franchise integration.

He was previously the vice president of Operations for Walt Disney Attractions Japan. He has been the senior vice president of Disneyland Paris since 2023. In the announcement, Mazloum said, “I have complete confidence in each of them to build on the remarkable momentum underway across these businesses and to write the next chapter of Disney’s story.” All of them will begin their roles by the end of July 2026.
