An Orlando Airport Restaurant Is Permanently Closing Next Month

We have news about one of the most iconic places in Orlando. No, we are not talking about Disney or Universal; we’re talking about the Orlando Airport.

MCO

Between the awesome stores and iconic green carpet, MCO is a fan-favorite for a reason. However, we just found out that a popular restaurant is closing soon, after only being open for two years. Let’s get into everything we know.

Gastrohub is a popular spot in Terminal B of the airport; however, despite only being open for two years, they are set to permanently close on June 30th, 2026.

This was discovered through a WARN Notice (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) recently filed by the restaurant’s operator, according to The Orlando Business Journal. And unfortunately, this closure is set to lead to many layoffs.

So why is this popular spot closing? This closure is thought to be another step in the Orlando Airport’s Concession Master Plan. This plan is set to involve a major renovation of Terminals A and B.

A big part of this plan includes new dining locations, so the airport is letting many of its current vendor contracts expire and signing new ones that better fit the reimagined space.

We don’t yet know exactly how this refurbishment will look, though it’s possible they’re aiming for the same effect as the ultra-modern Terminal C that opened in 2022.
