The Lost Continent area is closing to get a new theme, several restaurants are being changed, and one popular attraction is getting a big refurbishment at Universal Studios Florida. What’s that attraction? Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show!

The Horror Make-Up Show is now closed in Universal Studios Florida. It officially closed May 12th to go under a lengthy refurbishment. When it reopens, there will be a new, “reimagined” version of the show.

Universal Orlando

This show is located in the Hollywood section of the park, and for years, it has shown the behind-the-scenes of makeup and special effects in the movies. Combine that with the wacky sense of humor of the hosts, and you’ve got a show that has been a fan-favorite for ages.

Universal Orlando hasn’t shared specific details about what will be changing, but we’ll let you know as soon as we get the information. Of course, we’ll be there after it reopens to share our thoughts.

But that’s not the only thing on the docket for Universal Studios Florida! We’ll also be getting the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster in 2027. There’s lots to look forward to in the coming months and years.

Of course, we’re also keeping an eye on The Lost Continent construction over at Islands of Adventure. In the coming months, all the dining and offerings in that land will be closing in phases. Mythos Restaurant is set to close in 2027. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
