New Report Reveals 2 Injuries on Disney World Rides

While theme parks are often seen as the ultimate escapist fantasy, a place where guests can put aside the real world and instead embrace fantasy. However, sometimes reality intrudes.

Unfortunately, guest injuries are a fact of life at theme parks, including — as a new report clearly shows — Disney theme parks.

In the latest injury report from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which tracks injuries suffered at Florida’s theme parks, is “a compilation of data collected from the exempt facilities and reflects only the information reported at the time of the incident. Due to privacy-related concerns, the Department does not receive updates to initial assessments of a patron’s condition,” according to the agency.

The list includes self-reported injuries that occurred at Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, LEGOLand, and, yes, Disney World, where two injuries were reported during the first quarter of 2026.

• On February 2nd, a 65-year-old female guest fell while exiting the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, injuring her pelvis. The attraction, a traditional carrousel, was initially built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1917 and was acquired by Disney for the Magic Kingdom in the late 60s. The ride – then known as Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel – opened with the park in 1971.
• Several weeks later, on February 17th, a 40-year-old female guest with an unidentified preexisting condition injured her shoulder while riding the Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The rapids ride has been operational at the Walt Disney World theme park since 1999.

Of note, the injuries on the list are only those that were serious enough to require at least 24 hours of hospitalization. There were likely additional injuries that happened that didn’t require 24 hours of hospitalization.

If you find yourself injured on a theme park attraction, Disney or otherwise, alert employees/Cast Members/Team Members, etc., immediately and follow all instructions given to you by said employees as well as medical professionals. If you find yourself injured somewhere else in the park, alert the closest employee if necessary, or make your way to the nearest First Aid station ASAP.

According to the latest injury report from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, two guests were injured on Disney World rides during the first quarter of 2026.
