Even at Disney World, no day is 100% perfect.
Rides will close or be evacuated, your ice cream cone will melt in 30 seconds, and kids will throw a tantrum at the most inconvenient times! Although some days are better than others at the Disney World parks, we noticed Hollywood Studios had a rough morning yesterday.
We were in Hollywood Studios on July 3rd where we noticed several rides were closed first thing in the morning. At park opening, Rise of the Resistance, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster were all temporarily closed. Yikes.
Then, an hour later, Rise of the Resistance was still closed and Slinky Dog Dash temporarily closed. Luckily, the other two attractions had reopened by now.
At 11AM, Rise of the Resistance had finally opened for the day, but Slinky Dog Dash was still closed. It wasn’t until noon that every ride in the park was open!
If you find yourself running into a rough morning in Hollywood Studios like we did, keep checking the My Disney Experience app. It is constantly updated with wait times and it will be the easiest way to check if a must-do attraction is open or closed.

This is becoming an everyday occurrence. I was in Disney for 8 days and ever day in each park there were multiple closures for hours and or multiple times of the day. I never in the history of my visitors to Disney which exceed 50, has it ever been this bad. We need to stop normalizing broken rides and substandard service at Disney,
