I Don’t Mean To Sound Like A Broken Record, But This is Why We Tell You To Rope Drop Magic Kingdom

You’ve heard us say it over and over, but it bears repeating: You should always rope drop Magic Kingdom.

​Now, believe me, I get it. You’re on vacation, and you want to sleep in. You don’t want to have to get up super early so you can get to Magic Kingdom to take advantage of rope drop. Well, here’s the thing: rope drop almost ALWAYS pays off in Magic Kingdom.

So here’s the proof that rope dropping Magic Kingdom is worth it. When we look at wait times for Magic Kingdom at rope drop (when the park opens), almost ALL of the rides have wait times of 30 minutes or less, with many rides only having wait times of 10 to 15 minutes! That’s it! Think about how many rides you could knock out quickly with wait times so short! You would accomplish so much more than if you arrived in Magic Kingdom later in the day.

If you’re tired after riding all those attractions, you can always take a break back at your hotel and get in a nap or some time by the pool. That will give you the energy you need to get back to it later in the day so you can enjoy both parades in Magic Kingdom, as well as the Happily Ever After fireworks. And you still will have done more than people who got to the parks later. Doesn’t that sound nice?
