What Disney World Wait Times Look Like During the Week of a Hurricane

Disney World was closed for two days this week due to Hurricane Ian.

The storm made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane and made its way across the state, then went back into the Atlantic Ocean. Even though there was a major hurricane on the way, we did see people in the theme parks this week when they were open. So, let’s see just how busy it was by taking a look at the average wait times.

Magic Kingdom

In Magic Kingdom, Jungle Cruise was at 37 minutes, Peter Pan’s Flight was at 49 minutes, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was at 53 minutes.

In Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance had an average wait time of 105 minutes this week, while Slinky Dog Dash had a wait time of 81 minutes, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway had a wait time of 59 minutes.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy: 14 minutes
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue: 15 minutes
Walt Disney Presents: 17 minutes
Alien Swirling Saucers: 33 minutes

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure had the highest average wait time in EPCOT  at 69 minutes. Then, we had Frozen Ever After at 67 minutes and Test Track at 56 minutes.

And, same as usual, Flight of Passage had the longest average wait times at Animal Kingdom, coming in at around 76 minutes. Then, Na’vi River Journey averaged around 57 minutes, and Kilimanjaro Safaris at 41 minutes.
