The day has finally come!

EPCOT is officially celebrating its 40th Anniversary and there’s a ton to do. Whether you’re looking for snacks to bite into or items to buy, the celebration has something in store for everyone. But it seems like merchandise was one of the more popular offerings today, as the lines were sorta…wild.
If you wanted 40th Anniversary merchandise today, you weren’t alone. Creations Shop was the place to be this morning!

Guests in line waited…

…and waited…

…and waited to get their hands on the celebratory merchandise.

The line wrapped all around the park, providing guests in the queue with different views of EPCOT. When we got in line, a Cast Member told us it would probably take 2 hours to get through — we timed it and it only ended up taking 1 hour and 5 minutes.

This is no 6 hour line for a Figment popcorn bucket, but it was a pretty long wait!
Of course, this is pretty common for the first day of a celebration. We expect these lines to calm down very soon and we’ll keep you updated. For more information on the 40th Anniversary, check out all of the merchandise you can grab for the occasion. Or take a look at all of the treats you can grab in honor of the milestone.
