REVIEW: Disney World Just Perfected The Croissant, and No, We Won’t Accept Any Arguments Otherwise

When it comes to Disney World food trends, one of the most recent involves croissants, those crescent-shaped baked goods made with layer upon layer of buttery pastry dough.

In Disney World, croissants have been stuffed with everything from cookie dough to peanut butter and jelly. However, we think Disney has finally reached the ULTIMATE level in croissants with its latest arrival, the Cookie Butter Croissant.

Over at Everything Pop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, you can get the Cookie Butter Croissant is $6.49 and is a croissant stuffed with cookie butter and marshmallow cream. The croissant is buttery and flaky and, even after sitting in a pastry case for a while, still has its lovely layers. We did taste more marshmallow than cookie butter, but overall, the soft, gooey cream reminded us of a thinner version of marshmallow fluff.

The cookie butter adds a hint of spiced sweetness that goes very well with the marshmallow. Then there’s a stripe of vanilla icing on top that tasted a lot like the kind of icing you put on cinnamon rolls, which added even MORE sweetness to the other flavors. Then there’s a Biscoff cookie crumble.

Overall, this treat tastes rich and decadent, and you’ll find yourself licking your plate and fingers (mostly because it’s a little messy, but also because you can’t get enough of that filling and icing). We say run — don’t walk — to Pop Century to try it for yourself.
