When we saw that they had a new sandwich with a side of noodles, we had to try it!

The Pork Belly Banh Mi with Asian Noodle Salad is $23 at The Polite Pig. It’s a baguette with three cherry pepper-glazed buigogi pork belly, spicy pickled onions, carrots, poblano peppers, and baby arugula.

The Pork Belly Banh Mi was a traditional take on the Asian dish. The pork belly was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The arugula, pickled carrots, and pickled jalapeños were spicy and offset the sweet glaze on the pork. The bread was soft and not as crispy as a traditional baguette.

The Asian Noodle Salad was served cold, so it was refreshing on a hot, sunny day. The noodles were thick and doughy, and coated in a spice that reminded us of wasabi. The picked onions, carrots, and poblano peppers added a fresh and tangy flavor.
