It was Toy Story Mania! Now, I’ve warned you all before that this unassuming ride will surprisingly cause you to wait hours in the afternoon. However, when seeing just how different the wait times were to other popular rides like Slinky Dog Dash, it got me thinking about Lightning Lane strategy.
When you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Disney World, you can then book time slots for attractions with a Lightning Lane to essentially “skip the line.” The purpose is that you have an expedited wait time compared to the regular standby line! That’s why Slinky Dog Dash Lightning Lanes fill up quickly, but for some, Toy Story Mania might make more sense to book first!
As a lifelong Disney fan and AllEars editor for five years, I would still opt for Slinky Dog Dash, but it really comes down to personal preference. I’ve been on Toy Story Mania dozens of times, and to me, Slinky Dog Dash is the better attraction. Not to mention waiting in that outdoor queue can be brutal! But, if you’re someone who wants to do it all, Toy Story Mania may need to enter the lineup of your first three Lightning Lane choices.
