Your Magic Kingdom Rope Drop Plans Need to CHANGE Next Month

In case you missed it, Disney World just dropped some huge news!

On top of the new hotel and ticket discounts, Disney revealed that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is reopening on April 8th. So what does that mean for your next Magic Kingdom visit? We’re breaking it down now.​

Rope drop looks pretty different for resort guests with Early Theme Park Entry and regular visitors…and that stays true even with this ride reopening. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and other Tomorrowland attractions are on the Early Entry list, AKA they open 30 minutes early. That means as of April 8th, anyone staying at a Disney World hotel can get in line before the park opens to everyone!

We expect the lines to be long by park opening time, so what do you do without Early Entry?

Well, there is always Lightning Lane Multi Pass! You can purchase the service in advance (7 days before for resort guests, 3 days before for everyone else), and book your first 3 Lightning Lanes. With the excitement around this attraction, we’d recommend making this one of your first three choices if it’s a priority for you to get on it.

It’s also possible that wait times will drop in the evening, as we tend to see with other popular rides, including Flight of Passage and Rise of the Resistance.
