PROOF That You Should Avoid This Part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the Morning

Whether you’re a morning person or a night owl, the AM hours are some of the most important in Disney World!

​The morning can set the entire mood for the day. Visitors with a plan can get a lot done in the first few hours of park time! However, there is one land we want to warn you about…and let you know when to go instead!

We’re talking about Disney’s Animal Kingdom! This park is home to one of the most popular rides in all of Disney World — Flight of Passage. Although we usually recommend rope dropping the most popular rides, you may want to hold off until the afternoon!

We noticed that wait times at Flight of Passage on August 19th held steady at 90 minutes from 8AM to 10AM. At 11AM, the wait time slightly dipped to 80 minutes. Yikes!

However, later in the day, the wait times dropped to around 55-65 minutes.  Even though wait times don’t really get short here, you could save at least 30 or so minutes. That’s precious time you could be using somewhere else in the park!

We’d recommend heading for Kilimanjaro Safaris first thing instead — the animals tend to be lively and wait times are shorter.

Another option you have is to purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Flight of Passage. With this, you can skip the line at that attraction. It may come at a separate cost, but talk about convenience!
