We Know Where Every Disney World Annual Passholder Will Be on August 24th

Heads up, Disney World Annual Passholders — we’ve got another SOLD-OUT park day!

Are you a Passholder?

While being an Annual Passholder at Disney World certainly has its perks with exclusive souvenirs and treats to pick up around the parks, it’s not always coming up roses for these folks. Several have expressed their distaste for Disney World still having their Annual Passholders make park reservations to enter most days and now there’s one clear date that’s harder for APs to spend a day in the parks soon!

UPDATE: Disney added additional park passes for Annual Passholders on September 24th, but chances are the park will still be quite busy! Make sure you double check the Disney World calendar ahead of your visit.

Most of us remember the unfortunate time when Disney World required all ticket holders to make park reservations to attend their theme parks. While it was tedious and has since been lifted earlier this year for all date-based ticket holders, the one group that still needs to use the park reservation system are those that attend the parks most.

Disney World Annual Passholders still utilize the park reservation system to this day with the exception of sporadic “good to go days” which allows APs the option to just scan in with their valid theme park admission. This usually doesn’t present too much of a problem day to day however, it can become an issue when you’re trying to visit your favorite park only to find that it’s sold out.

Timon and Pumbaa!

We recently noticed that on August 24th, 2024 Disney’s Animal Kingdom reservations are now sold out for Disney World Annual Passholders for the day. While this can change as people modify their plans and change things around, it doesn’t always mean you’ll be lucky enough to start in your preferred park. As a reminder the current system allows APs the option to visit any Disney World park after 2PM any week day with the exception of Magic Kingdom which still requires a park reservation for visits on weekends.

Granted though, this isn’t an “end all, be all” for the system. While it’s inconvenient, if you’re a Disney World AP ticket holder still wanting to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom this day and the park is still sold out for reservations, your options are to either visit after 2PM this day OR make a park reservation for another park to scan into first and then park hop!

While this is the first Disney World park we’ve seen sold out to APs in a while, we’re keeping a close watch over them to see if we notice any future trends on the rise that you may need to plan around for your next visit.
