Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland just massively changed – there’s a timeline change, a new store, a new soundtrack, and new characters to meet.

But believe it not, the land has changed even more this week. Disney is updating Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to include a brand-new storyline inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu with tons of new scenes!
We got to ride the updated Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run early to see all of the new changes! In the new storyline, Hondo got wind of a deal going down on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and a band of pirates. There’s a generous bounty for their capture, so you’ll borrow the Millennium Falcon and team up with The Mandalorian and Grogu to track them down!

The ride begins on the iconic Tattoine! After all, this is where Star Wars started with Anakin and Luke. Plus, the Engineer role has gotten an upgrade – engineers communicate with Grogu during their mission, and then choose where your crew is headed. This is the first time on the ride that riders have been able to choose their destination. You’ll choose which target to hunt and head to the planet.

We chose to head to Coruscant, the place that started the Imperial City of the Star Wars universe! We had a fast-paced street race, then an epic battle, until we finally caught our target.

We rode again and picked Bespin to stop by Cloud City. We were transported into a fierce Tie-Fighter battle, but Mando and Grogu saved the day. We also found a fun hidden Easter egg – the Star Tours ship flies into the hangar at the end of the ride.

You can also head to Endor to see the wreckage of the second Death Star. There you’ll track down the bounty and get caught in a fierce battle among the rubble.

We had so much fun riding the updated Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disneyland. This will officially open on Friday, May 22nd, if you want to hop on yourself. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disneyland news.
