The NEW Disneyland Park Hopping Rule CHANGE You Need To Know

HUGE news out of Disneyland Resort, everyone, and if you’ve got a trip planned for later this year, it WILL affect you, so you’ll want to listen closely!

For years now, guests visiting Disneyland Resort haven’t been able to park hop to the other park until 11 AM. Yes, even when Disney World got rid of its 2 PM park hopping rule years ago, Disneyland didn’t change its rule. We knew that the resort would be changing its rule sometime in 2026, but now, after what feels like forever, the park hopping rule is FINALLY going away!

It’s now been confirmed on the Disneyland Travel Agent website that the 11 AM park hopping rule will be going away at Disneyland Resort starting on June 9th! You must have a valid park hopper ticket, or a Disneyland Magic Key to switch between parks, and you may not be allowed into the other park if it’s at capacity.

However, when guests are making their plans for the day, they will need to make plans for the “starting park,” to help give Disney an idea of where people will start off the day. Yes, that does mean that park pass reservations aren’t going anywhere, but hey, we’re grateful that park hopping won’t have restrictions anymore!
