Disney Makes HUGE Magic Key Announcement

Having a Disneyland Magic Key Pass means you have access to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure throughout the year, as well as access to discounts, special merchandise, special dining, and so much more.

Well, Disney just revealed a big change to its Magic Key Pass in 2026. The Enchant Magic Key Pass is going away to be replaced by a new Explore Magic Pass.

Currently, both the Inspire and Believe Keys are available for sale, while supplies last (at which time, Disneyland will pause sales). On January 13th, 2026, though, Disney is introducing a new pass: the Explore Key Pass.

The Explore Key is a new Magic Key pass that will let you explore the parks (hence the name) on select dates during each season, including summer weekdays in June and July. The pass will cost $999 with benefits including the following:

Reservation-based park hopper admission with the ability to hold up to four theme park reservations at any given time
Up to 10% off merchandise
25% off parking at the Toy Story Lot
25% off the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane

As of January 13th, the Enchant Key will no longer be available for purchase. It’s possible we’ll see a change in the blockout dates, but we’ll have to wait and see to know for sure. Existing Enchant Key Passholders can keep their pass until they expire and then have the option to purchase another Key, including the new Enchant Key.
