By now, you know that Disney World rides can temporarily close at any time.
This is usually due to technical difficulties that can be fixed pretty quickly or bad weather as it passes over Disney World, but sometimes the ride is down for the rest of the day. That’s what happened yesterday in Disney World!
We noticed on Friday, November 18th, that Tower of Terror had closed due to technical difficulties and it did not reopen by the end of the day. When we checked on the ride again on Saturday, November 19th, the ride was still closed and it turns out the popular thrill ride never opened that day.
So what should you do in this situation if Tower of Terror is a must ride for you? Well, if you have a park hopper, try hopping back to the park on a different day of your vacation. You can look at the My Disney Experience app to see if it is still temporarily closed or if it has reopened, so check the app before heading all the way over there.
When the rides break down, the Cast Members standing at the entrance have no control over the situation, so it’s important to be kind and patient with your group and the Cast Members. Plans can and WILL change on a Disney World vacation, which is why it’s good to keep an open mind.
Even though Tower of Terror was closed all day, the other rides in Disney World had a busy day with crowds flocking to their queues. Let’s check out the wait times in the parks from Saturday, November 19th!
