Is December Really the WORST Time To Go to Disney World? We’ve Got the Data!

Sure, you’ve probably heard how ridiculously crowded Disney World can be in December, but is it really the WORST time to go to the parks?

As it turns out, the data has a lot to say! While the end of December can certainly be rough with folks off work and kiddos out of school — leading to longer wait times, the beginning of December might actually be the sweet spot. Here’s what the latest wait times show!

Our top tips for avoiding long lines without spending any extra money are to rope drop the parks (get there right when — or before — they open), get in line during meal times or parades and fireworks, or wait until people start leaving for the night!

You can also take advantage of things like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours, depending on which Disney hotel you’re staying at. These offerings allow hotel guests to get a little extra time in the parks before everyone else gets there.

And, you can always take advantage of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass (and the new Premier Pass!) These are skip-the-line services that allow you to bypass the standby lines at popular Disney World rides.
