In the past, Disney World has had several attractions and experiences that have operated under a Virtual Queue system. This ensures that lines for popular experiences stay at a manageable wait!

Right now, Disney is not operating any Virtual Queues across the four theme parks. However, an important day is right around the corner at Hollywood Studios, and with it, a Virtual Queue is returning, but not for the attraction you’re expecting!
May the 4th is right around the corner! This is one of the most popular days of the year to visit Hollywood Studios to celebrate all things Star Wars. Since this day is so busy Disney is once again bringing back a Virtual Queue to help manage the crowds.

Now, you might be thinking that this Virtual Queue is coming to the insanely popular Star War’s Rise of the Resistance or even Millenium Falcon Smuggler’s Run, but it’s not.

This Virtual Queue will be in place for merchandise! Yes, you heard us right, stores at Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs, will be operating under a Virtual Queue system for May the 4th merchandise.

Okay, so let’s dive into what this means for you and how you can snag a Virtual Queue. On the morning of May the 4th, you’ll need to open the My Disney Experience App and navigate to the Virtual Queue section.

For Hollywood Studios, the queue will open at 7 AM, and for Disney Springs, the queue will open at 9 AM. We suggest being on the app a few minutes prior to the queue dropping and being prepared to click on the Virtual Queue as soon as 7 AM or 9 AM hits, depending on which location you’re going to!

In the past, these spots have gone quickly, so make sure to be ready if Star Wars merch is a part of your perfect May the 4th day. It’s also important to note that for the Hollywood Studios Virtual Queue, guests need to have a valid park admission or a park reservation in order to enter.

Now that we’ve gone over the details, let’s take a look at some of the exclusive merch that has been dropping over the past several weeks, leading up to the big day! This mega merch drop started all the way back on March 26th, with the Mandalorian and Grogu May the 4th merch!

New collections have been dropping every Friday since, all the way up through yesterday, April 24th, with the exclusive Podracing collection inspired by Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

We can’t wait to see all the merch that awaits us on May the 4th! Make sure to follow All Ears so you don’t miss out on any updates leading up to this iconic event!
