A Subtle Change Has Me RIDICULOUSLY Excited About This Hollywood Studios Attraction

There are SO many changes coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios right now. A new land is opening this summer, inspired by The Walt Disney Studios, and Mike and Sulley are working away in Monstropolis.

NEW PAINT!

Over at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, the Muppets are in the process of taking over G Force Records. The rethemed ride is reopening on May 26th, and we just got a shiny new update.

There’s a new coat of paint over on Sunset Boulevard. Ahead of the attraction’s reopening, the Rock ‘n’ Roller courtyard entrance has a fresh, shiny coat of silver paint.

SO SHINY!

Previously, the entrance was a mix of neutral, sandy tones. This is another big change we’ve seen in the color scheme around the ride. The silver matches the updates we’ve seen on the car at the entrance as well! We’re loving the chrome touches.

The previous paint color

We are just over a month away from the opening date, and things are looking better and better. There seem to be three different shades of grey and silver to make the archway a bit more dynamic, similar to the previous paint job.

A closer look at the color!

This week, Disney also gave us a sneak peek inside the attraction’s new queue!  There are so many hidden details that Muppet fans will obsess over, like this crate that reminds us of details from Muppet Vision 3D.

Disney even pointed out this Gonzo statue that was in the original Muppet movie! It was on top of his plumbing van, but it fell off, breaking an arm off. Luckily, Gonzo brought it back and kept it, so we can spot it inside the ride’s queue now.

Disney has also given us a first look at what Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem will look like in the ride! They look so good, it had our entire team freaking out.

They’ve even shared the full ride list that you can hear on the attraction! They feature a few celebrity cameos, of course. The 5 songs are:

    • “Song 2” — The Electric Mayhem (made famous by Blur)
    • “Born To Be Wild” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken (made famous by Steppenwolf)
    • “Love Rollercoaster” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
    • “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard
    • “Walking on Sunshine” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson

We are ridiculously excited to see the ride open on May 26th, 2026. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news, updates, and more.
