Disney Cruise Line offers a different kind of vacation than what you can expect in Disney theme parks, and sometimes that’s just what you want for you and your whole family.

Disney Cruise Line also just recently dropped a new deal that could convince you that taking a cruise is just what you need right now. A new offer now allows kids ages 17 and under to sail for 50% off. However, you may be wondering just how good of a deal this is for you. Well, we did the math!
Let’s talk about this new deal. You can get 50% off kids’ fares on Disney Cruise Line for select sailings between October 2026 and March 2027 if you book by June 14th. You will need to have two full-fare guests staying in the same stateroom to get the deal, and the discount goes for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th guests under the age of 17. Stateroom Categories 04A through 11C are eligible for this discount. You also can’t combine the discount with other offers.

So, should you take advantage of this offer? Let’s do the math and find out. First, if you’re just sailing with adults, you’re not eligible for the offer. You’ll have to have at least two full-fare guests PLUS children to take advantage of the deal.

We’re going to start looking at how much a cruise would cost for two parents with two kids under 17. We looked at the price of a 4-night Bahamas cruise on the Disney Wish from October 19th through 23rd. An inside stateroom for two parents and two children would cost a total of $3,468 on that specific cruise. That’s including the 50% off kids’ discount.

So what would the price of a similar cruise be without the discount? Well, if you cruise on June 29th through July 3rd, before the offer is available, you’d pay $6,043 for two parents and two children for an inside stateroom on the Disney Wish for a 4-night Bahamas cruise. So in this case, the discount is certainly worth it. The discount could save you over $2,500!

Let’s look at other offers and see how they stack up to this new discount. Florida residents can currently save up to 30% on select sailings. This deal is only available through August, but an inside stateroom for two parents and two children will run around $4,819 for a Bahamas cruise on June 1st through 5th. So you’d still pay a little more if you were using this deal.

Another discount can save 25% off voyage fare on select sailings. However, this is for a guaranteed cabin (meaning you don’t know what you’ll get until later). A 4-night Bahamas cruise on the Disney Wish will cost two parents and two children a total of $5,203 with this deal when cruising on June 1st through 5th. So, again, the new 50% off discount for kids will save more money.

So it seems that the new 50% off for kids discount is a good one, and will save you money if you’re sailing with at least two adults and children. Otherwise, you may want to consider one of the other discounts if you’re looking to save money on Disney Cruise Line.
