TOUR of the Heroes Stateroom on the Disney Destiny

It’s finally time to set sail on the Disney Destiny, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

We’re on board for the very first time, but this isn’t just any Disney cruise — this is the FIRST Disney cruise ship to be themed after Disney Heroes and Villains, and they’re NOT playing around with this theming! The theming is in every corner, and we’re obsessed — the decor, the statues, the character meet and greets, the dining, the entertainment, you name it! However, one of the biggest areas you’ll be able to see the theming is in the staterooms, and you’ll be put in a Heroes themed room. Here’s what you can expect to see!

Like the staterooms on the Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Destiny offers comfortable and functional living spaces suited to the needs of families, including Disney’s signature split-bath concept, which allows more than one person to get ready at a time. Most rooms on the ship also offer a connecting door to accommodate larger families or traveling parties.

The ship’s heroic theming — which is inspired by the “by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story,” according to the ship’s designers — comes to life in each stateroom in the form of custom artwork depicting the epic journeys of famous Disney legends. These include Hercules…

…Mulan…

…and even The Incredibles.

During our stop on the boat, we got to check out several different designs! Our room was home to the Baymax design, which we absolutely loved. It was so detailed and bright.

We also checked out some of the other rooms, including the Brave artwork with Merida riding with her hair flowing in the glen.

Plus, movies like Raya and the Last Dragon even made it into the artwork. This movie is so underrated in our opinion, so we loved to see it!
