We know that there are busy rides in Disney World, the rides that will always have a high wait time, basically forever. And while those are sometimes the best Disney World rides (hence why they’re so popular), what rides should you shoot for when you just want to ride something?
We like to study Disney World wait times so we can create strategies on the best way to spend your time and money in the parks for that once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Let’s take a look at some of the rides with the lowest wait times in each park!
Let’s look at the wait times for Sunday, April 12th, 2026.
Magic Kingdom
One ride that almost never has a wait is the Carousel of Progress! This ride is totally in air conditioning with fairly comfy seating and is a nice 21 minutes to rest. Mickey’s PhilharMagic is also a great choice and is indoors. Dumbo and the Tomorrowland Speedway are more rides than shows, but usually have short waits throughout the day.

Animal Kingdom is going through a massive transformation to add Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas themed land. Because of that, many rides are closed, so all the other rides have long lines. You can catch a show like Finding Nemo, which is usually easy to grab a seat for, or try the single rider line for Expedition Everest if you don’t mind splitting up your party.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
While Hollywood Studios has a lot of shows to enjoy (that can be in shade with tons of seating), if you’re looking for an official ride, look no further than Star Tours. Star Tours has a ton of ride vehicles, and while the extended queue is outside, we can usually hop in line when it’s inside, in the nice and cold air conditioning. It’s also a Star Wars attraction, which is great when you don’t want to wait an hour for Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run.
