In case you missed it, Disney World is making a lot of upgrades to its hotels right now!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has debuted a new lobby, and work is still ongoing. Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge are getting new rooms. It was also just revealed that Disney’s Art of Animation rooms and suites are getting a facelift. Well, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is in on the construction changes, too, and we could be getting a huge update soon!
With the closure of Big River Grille, Promenade Fine Art Gallery, and Jellyrolls, the BoardWalk has plenty of space for new experiences. Even though we’ve seen construction happening here, Disney has yet to announce what’s going on!

At a recent media event, a Disney spokesperson brought up the changes at BoardWalk Inn. Disney is currently finalizing details for storefronts on the BoardWalk, but did not share any updates at the time. However, we confirmed that more information is coming soon!
It’s not much to go on, but we know an announcement for this resort is on the horizon.

Jellyrolls closed in April 2025, but if you’re missing the beloved bar, you’re in luck! Jellyrolls recently announced a new location about 10 minutes from Disney World. We’re waiting on an exact opening date, but a grand opening for the new location is planned for either late summer or early fall. Learn all about it here!

Big River Grille suddenly closed in January 2024, and has been sitting empty ever since. Promenade Fine Art Gallery closed in October 2025, and we have yet to hear about its future.

There’s still plenty to do at Disney’s BoardWalk, though! The Cake Bake Shop is a newer restaurant on the dock with over-the-top desserts, special cocktails, and a full dine-in menu. You can also find Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs with some of the best in all of Disney World!

We are in the parks bringing you Disney World updates every single day of the year, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!

They need to take one of those areas and make a giant Food Hall for the resorts in the area. There is such a lack of counter service food options, and one big centralized food hall with various kiosks that is inside is so needed!!
