If you’ve ever ventured over to Disney’s BoardWalk, then there’s a good chance you’ve tried out a few of the restaurants there.
Big River Grille and Brewing Works is a fan-favorite spot at Disney’s BoardWalk that serves up classic American eats for lunch and dinner as well as some great beers, ciders, and more! If you’re a fan of the eatery or if you’re planning on visiting soon, we have some bad news. 😬
We just found out that the last day of operation for Big River Grille will be Sunday, January 21st.
We called to confirm with the restaurant, and the news is true. 😞 We originally found out from an employee, who said they received a letter notifying them of the upcoming closure.
In the letter, it was stated that compensation of $20 an hour would be given to employees who stay throughout completion, as well as a $500 bonus as long as employees remain professional throughout their final shift. No hours are listed on Disney’s website after the 21st.
Wow! This news came out of nowhere. We’re a bit bummed, but we’re also wondering what could take its place. 👀
