NEWS: AccuWeather Announces NEW Disney Weather Check for App

One of the things we always tell you to do when you visit Disney World is to keep a close eye on the weather. That’s because the weather is apt to change at any given moment.

The weather can change quickly in Disney World

You want to be prepared for any sudden rainstorms that might pop up, as well as those days when it’s going to be very hot and humid. Well, AccuWeather just added Disney Weather Check to its app to make checking Disney weather even easier.

If you have the AccuWeather app on your phone and you’re visiting select Disney properties, you will see Disney Weather Check pop up on your phone automatically. That’s it…you don’t have to do anything except have the AccuWeather app. That’s because AccuWeather and Disney Experiences have teamed up to provide that to you for the first time ever.

We played around with the feature in Disney World and even discovered that you can set parks as favorites and add labels like “World Showcase Lagoon show.”

Once you set your favorites up, you can see them all on one screen. Needless to say, this will come in handy when visiting the parks.

Even better? This works for many Disney properties, including Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. Here’s a full list of Disney Weather Check’s features:

Geo-fenced experiences: Guests get enhanced, location-specific weather whenever they’re on Disney property within the AccuWeather app. This includes Disney employee alerts, warnings, and advisories.
