HUGE Restaurant Change Revealed for EPCOT

A HUGE change is coming to EPCOT’s World Showcase, specifically the Canada Pavilion.

Refreshment Port Closed

Now, we’ve been wondering what’s been going on with Refreshment Port ever since it closed earlier this year. Well, it seems that Disney has big plans for the snack spot and is reimagining it as a NEW snack spot called La Poutinerie Hosted by Air Canada.

What’s interesting is that we’ve learned about this update from the Air Canada website. That’s because Air Canada will be sponsoring La Poutinerie, where you can experience “a Canadian classic with a twist.” We’re assuming this means that the menu will remain similar to what it was when this was Refreshment Port, which included poutine, as well as specialty poutines during EPCOT festivals. Air Canada also posted some concept art of what the new snack spot will look like.

Earlier this month, we discovered a new permit filed by Disney to “install set elements” for this location, indicating that a bigger change than a simple refurbishment would be coming to this spot. Now, we have verification of what that change will be. We don’t yet know when the new spot might open, but it’s already been closed through several festivals, so we’re hoping to see it reopen in time for the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, which starts in the summer.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details, like the menu and reopening date, and we’ll let you know when we get that information. So be sure to check back with AllEars again soon for more.
