The Major Problem with Disney World Rides Right Now

Does Disney World even have a slow season anymore?

September has historically been a “slow” month for the parks (along with January!). Kids have gone back to school, families have returned home from vacation, and wait times should go down, right? Right?!

No matter when you’re planning a visit to Disney World next, it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the latest wait times so you know what you might be up against. Luckily, we take care of that for you — and lately, outdoor rides seem to be having a tough time because of the rain. Something to remember if you’re visiting during rainy season!

Our top tips for avoiding long lines without spending any extra money are to rope drop the parks (get there right when — or before — they open), get in line during meal times or parades and fireworks, or wait until people start leaving for the night!

You can also take advantage of things like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours depending on what Disney hotel you’re staying at. These offerings allow hotel guests to get a little extra time in the parks before everyone else gets there.

And, you can always take advantage of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass! These are skip-the-line services that allow you to bypass the standby lines at popular Disney World rides.
