Your Disney World Rope Drop Strategy Needs To CHANGE in 2025

Now that 2025 has rolled around, have you updated your Disney World rope drop strategy yet?

Gone are the days when you could just show up to the parks as they were opening and hoped to beat the rush of the crowds. Instead, now you’ve got to get to the front of the park well before it opens if you want the best chance of hopping in line before anyone else!

Our top tips for avoiding long lines without spending any extra money are to rope drop the parks (get there right when — or before — they open), get in line during meal times or parades and fireworks, or wait until people start leaving for the night!

You can also take advantage of things like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours depending on what Disney hotel you’re staying at. These offerings allow hotel guests to get a little extra time in the parks before everyone else gets there.

And, you can always take advantage of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass (and the new Premier Pass!) These are skip-the-line services that allow you to bypass the standby lines at popular Disney World rides.
