EPCOT has undergone numerous changes over the past few years, and those changes have continued since the park’s “official” transformation was completed.
Most recently, the third edition of Test Track will be opening to the public on July 22nd, and we were curious to hear how Disney fans are reacting to the changes Disney has announced for the attraction. As it turns out, over 85% of Disney fans are HAPPY about these changes!
We took a poll on our Instagram to ask our readers and viewers if they felt the Test Track changes were a mistake, and 87% of the responses (524 people!) said no, they don’t feel the changes were a mistake.
We got a similar response on Facebook, with one reader saying:
“I hope that it’s better than it was because I was bored when I rode it 3 years ago.“
Another reader said:
“Had EPCOT kept its original intent, I would have said YES, they are a mistake, but that is no longer the case. It’s just another ride/attraction now, so they need to just make it fun for visitors.“
EPCOT isn’t quite the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow and has gone through a lot of changes to become the park it is today. This new version of Test Track is more focused on showing the technology that is “making our cars smarter and our lives more fun.”
The new version of Test Track takes inspiration from the original ride, World of Motion, which was once where Test Track is now. Guests can “enjoy a ride through the scenic outdoors to celebrate the joys of taking in the world around us and spending time with family and friends.”
