REVIEW: We Found Your New Favorite Disney Breakfast, But You’re Going to Need a Plane Ticket

We recently visited Hong Kong Disneyland for its 20th Anniversary, and there was so much we got to explore and try!

We got to see some of the exciting new entertainment and try new snacks, and we’ve to admit that we’ve found our new favorite breakfast that we need in Disney World ASAP.

The Chart Room Cafe, located at the Disney Explorers Lodge hotel, offers a variety of breakfast options. We decided to grab the Chinese Breakfast for HK$168 (around $21.40 USD). This is siu mai, har gow, mushroom bun, and congee of the day, served with coffee, Hong Kong-style milk tea, or fruit juice.

We absolutely adored this, and the savory level of it was exactly what we wanted from breakfast. It was super filling, and honestly, Mulan eats congee for breakfast, and she saves all of China, so how could this NOT be the best breakfast ever?

The mushroom dumplings were so sweet, with tons of umami and an almost gravy-like texture on the inside. The shrimp dumpling was also delicious and cooked perfectly, but our favorite was the Summai (the port dumpling)! It was savory and easy to pop in your mouth. Consider us big fans!

The Congee itself is warm and comforting in a way that feels like breakfast food, yet it remains unique. Ours had chicken bits in it that we really enjoyed, and then it was topped with peanuts and scallions, and you can add chili sauce for a little heat.

We would get this again and again, and we think it’s a fantastic price. A great way to start your day in the parks off on the right foot with all that protein!
