In case you missed it, Disney World is debuting a new skip-the-line pass called Lightning Lane Premier Pass!
It’s Disney World’s most expensive Lightning Lane Pass yet but will allow parkgoers to enter the Lightning Lane at any attraction that has one without needing to make a reservation. We tested it out in Disneyland recently and it surprised us in both good and bad ways. But there’s one Disney World park where it will be a total waste.
When looking at the wait times on Wednesday, October 23rd, we noticed that NONE of the attractions in Disney’s Animal Kingdom exceeded an hour wait time. The other parks have been busy and the wait times reflect that, but Animal Kingdom is an anomaly. But still, Disney will charge guests over $100 to use Lightning Lane Premier Pass even with the imminent DinoLand closures (which begin in January 2025).
Lightning Lane Premier Pass in Animal Kingdom will cost between $129-$199 plus tax depending on the date. We don’t even recommend purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass which is usually around $16 to $22 per person, per day, so it’s safe to say we do NOT recommend Premier Pass for this park.
The service officially kicks off on October 30th, when it will be available to purchase by guests at deluxe Disney World resorts. It will roll out to others later on.
