Staying at a Disney World hotel has its perks!
You don’t have to leave the Disney bubble during your entire vacation; the free transportation at your hotel will take you to the parks, and you get free parking if you drive. These are all great, but the best perk might be that you get EXTRA time in the parks through Early Theme Park Entry. If you take advantage of that perk this summer, heads up, because it’s changing!
Now, as much as fans wish Early Entry was extended to be an hour long instead of 30 minutes, that is not the case. However, when you enter the park 30 minutes before it opens, you’ll have access to special character interactions!
Some characters will be out in the park earlier than normal. Disney didn’t specify whether these characters will be roaming or in a traditional meet-and-greet style, but if you aren’t ride-focused, this is a fun way to rope drop!
Also, if you’re staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, or Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, you’ll find extra activities and characters! Disney said, “Activities will include character visits with set appearance times to help you plan your day and an expanded itinerary of things to do with your family throughout your stay at these four resorts. “
Disney announced these offerings as part of “Cool Kid Summer,” which kicks off on May 27th and runs through September 1st, 2025. We’ll have to wait and see if these perks stick around after that!

Yeah beefing up the character interactions because they’ve closed down so many attractions and continue to do so. Guests paying thousands need something to do…say hello to Goofy
Get in early should include all attractions. We went a few weeks back, and multiple get in early attractions were “down” and several others didn’t open until park fully opened. Full access truly makes it a worthy benefit.
